Jessica Sieren, PhD, Director
Jessica Sieren is an Associate Professor of Radiology and Biomedical Engineering at The University of Iowa, with extensive expertise in medical imaging and image processing. She holds dual undergraduate degrees—a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Engineering (with honors)—from Flinders University of South Australia, and earned her PhD in Biomedical Imaging from The University of Iowa. Dr. Sieren is a highly engaged member of the biomedical imaging research community: She is the Deputy Director of the Advanced Pulmonary Physiomic Imaging Laboratory (APPIL), Associate Director of Career Enhancement for the Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center (HCCC), and is an active member of the Iowa Institute of Biomedical Imaging (IIBI). Her leadership and collaborative roles across these institutions reflect her commitment to advancing translational imaging research and supporting core imaging infrastructure.

Ananya Panda, PhD, Clinical Director
Dr. Ananya Panda is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Radiology at the University of Iowa, with clinical and research experience in body imaging and nuclear radiology. She completed her radiology residency at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi India with honors followed by fellowships in Body MRI Research at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center and clinical fellowships at Mayo Clinic. She is a part of the Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center (HCCC) Emerging Leaders Council for the 2025-2027 term. Her areas of interests are clinical translational research in PET and MRI and imaging of genitourinary and gastrointestinal cancers.

Lori Steffens, Research Support Manager
Lori Steffens is the Research Support Manager for the Department of Radiology since 2023. She has an extensive background in administration and finance and has worked at The University of Iowa for the past 16 years.
